Viewing Colored Maps
I downloaded Caedium Professional March 20 and activated it March 23/09.
I also downloaded some sample simulations from the Resources section of your website.
If I execute the sample file "ellipsoid_verification.sym" I see a split screen with 3 colored views of the Pressure Coefficient Surface Contours. I also am able select and display a Velocity Theory Plot, a Normalized Velocity Plot, a Cp Theory Plot and a Pressure Coefficient Plot. This all seems fine to me.
However, if I execute any of the other *.sym simulations I downloaded from your Resources section, the colored view flashes on the screen for a split second and then the view window goes white, leaving a colored ribbon bar along the bottom. I can, however, select and see various plotted graphs. Also, I have not been able to display any colored maps during my own attempts at the tutorials, however I did get the particles to display on the Internal Flow Tutorial.
I can't understand why one simulation seems to work well and none of the rest do. Am I missing something? Thanks

Viewing Colored Maps
alphandomga here. For some reason I had to reply as anonymous because your webpage tells me alphandomega "belongs to a registered user". Thanks for your quick response with suggestions and questions. I will answer your questions in the order you sent them.
1.Caedium Version 1.2.2
2.Windows XP Pro x32 SP3
3.ATI Fire GL V5600 - 512Mb. Running 2560 x 1600 (Native resolution of screen)
4.All log content is green
5.Tried every *.sym file in your Downloads Area
6.Video drivers are up to date.
7.Caedium is up to date
8.I can't tell if I am rotating the model because the view window is totally white. I can't see the model.
9.Shaded model is also invisible.
10. Splitting the view window (ie adding another camera) works fine. Suddenly I can see the model in color, can rotate it, etc. I notice that if I drag the vertical line (which is dividing the view window into the 2 screens) too far from the center of the screen, the large 'half' of the screen turns white again and the model disappears from there.
Thanks again.
Screen Resolution
I'd guess then that it's the high screen resolution that is causing the problem. I've only tested up to 1280 X 1024 and haven't seen any problems.
Just to narrow it down a little further - I wonder if it's a general OpenGL issue or just Caedium? Do you happen to have Google Earth installed? If so, you could try switching it to use OpenGL Tools->Options->3D View->Graphics Mode->OpenGL. Then restart and maximize the application. Does it have the same empty view as Caedium?
In the mean time I would suggest either creating multiple cameras or resizing (rather than maximizing) Caedium such that the View returns. I'd guess that a resolution/size of 1600 X 1200 would work best.

Screen Resolution
Google Earth looks fine at full screen when set to Open GL Graphics mode.
Resizing Caedium to less than maximum full screen also works OK.
I have found that I can actually resize Caedium to screen maximum, as long as I drag the dividing line between the Tools/Properties windows and the View window to the right about 1/4 of the way across the screen. Then the View Window switches from all white to a proper colored picture when I chose the "Fit All" icon.
In other words, I can work with this high resolution as long as I don't have the View Window set too large.
Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for your help is chasing down this problem too. I hope with our next release we can fix this problem directly.
