Rhinoceros is a fabulous tool for developing fluid shapes, I am very surprised to see it is not mentioned. I use both SolidWorks and Rhinoceros. SolidWorks is fantastic but airfoil shapes in it can be tricky. For accuracy and creation of fluid shapes without Parametrics (or with parametrics using the Grasshopper math algorithm builder plug-in) Rhinoceros is fantastic. I have been achieving huge success with the combination of Rhinoceros and Caedium, after settling on the right import/export methods.
Rhino Geometry Exchange
Thanks for the feedback on Rhino. Could you share what geometry exchange methods you are using?
