Failure importing step

Hello,

I installed Caedium 5.1.3 64-bit on W7 64-bit.
I'm trying to import a *.step -File. I use "File" --> "Import".
But it says, that there is a failure and it's not possbile to read the file.

I didn't change any settings after installing. So what do I wrong?

Edit: Caedium 5.2 fixes the import of STEP/IGES in non-English versions of Caedium.

Caedium 5.2 fixes the import of STEP/IGES in non-English versions of Caedium.

Import Translation Bug

We've seen a bug importing STEP and IGES with non-English Caedium translations in v5.1.3. As a workaround:

  1. Select the File Toolbar and click the Preferences button
  2. In the Properties Panel set Applications->Language = English
  3. Restart Caedium
  4. Import your file as usual
  5. Save a project file (.sym)
  6. Switch your language back to the Default, restart, and open your project file to resume
