attaching a wake to an imported geometry
Hi,
I am trying to attach a wake bc to an imported geometry (iges format) but I am getting this message:
Warning:
edge_3:Skipping wake, must be attached to 2 walls, with identical normal orientation
Warning:
edge_7:Skipping wake, must be attached to 2 walls, with identical normal orientation
Any idea how can i avoid the problem?

Need to stitch faces
To shed a wake from an edge, the edge must be attached to 2 faces. It sounds to me like your faces are not stitched together along edges. Try using the Volume->Stitch tool on the Geometry Tool Palette to stitch your faces.
If you have the option I suggest exchanging geometry using the STEP (.stp) format, as it better preserves volumes and stitched faces.
