May 2013: Caedium v5.0 Released
Caedium v5.0 is ready and waiting for your Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) pleasure. The highlight of this release is Python scripting to automate your CFD simulations. To celebrate the release, enjoy this special edition newsletter that collects together the official announcement and all the sneak peeks of the new features available in Caedium v5.0.
Automated CFD simulations for parameterized pipe radius
Automate CFD Simulations with Python Scripting
The latest release of Caedium (v5.0) introduces Python scripting for CFD simulations to automate repetitive tasks and perform parameter studies. This release also has a new Caedium tabbed toolbar GUI which is a more intuitive way to interact with and control your CFD simulations, along with a host of other enhancements. Read more >>
Caedium v5 Sneak Peek: Ribbon GUI
The next release of the Caedium CFD software system will have a new combined menu and toolbar often referred to as a ribbon. Read more >>
Caedium v5 Sneak Peek: Polyhedral Meshes Improve CFD
The next release of the Caedium CFD software system will provide an option to automatically convert a RANS Flow volume mesh to a polyhedral mesh - also known as a dual mesh. Solving the RANS equations on the dual mesh compared to the equivalent tetrahedral mesh typically leads to higher accuracy results with both faster and more reliable convergence. Read more >>
Caedium v5 Sneak Peek: Enhanced Accuracy Tool
The next release of the Caedium CFD software system will include an enhanced Accuracy tool with a new maximum mesh size parameter. The new size parameter will provide a method to set an explicit physical element size for an entity (e.g., face) rather than just an interval (resolution) number as in the current version of Caedium. Caedium v5 Sneak Peek: 3Dconnexion 3D Mouse Support
The next release of the Caedium CFD software system on Windows will support the 3Dconnexion family of 3D mice. Read more >>
